What is the Aviation Safety Network?
The Aviation Safety Network (ASN) is a program designed to provide the support to implement safety management systems and risk management best practice within aviation organisations. The ASN has been working with the Recreational Aviation Administration Organisations (RAAOs) since 2009.

IRIS™ stands for ‘Integrated Risk Information System’. It is a reporting platform developed for use by the Sport Aviation organisations that provides the following advantages;
An online and ‘live’ occurrence reporting system that is submitted direct to your organisations’ managers.
The ability for your organisation to log their actions, and provide you with feedback when requested,
Access to further information about the Aviation Safety Network, and the activities taking place within your organisation.
As many know, being able to receive feedback about the hazards and occurrences that take place within one’s membership group is a valuable source of information. It can be used to determine any changes to educational programs (such as improving flying training), it allows for safety trends to be seen and acted upon, and it greatly contributes to an organisations’ ability to make accurate decisions about safety-related matters.
